AnnaLisa came to us infested with fleas, ear mites so bad she has sores in her ears and mats on most of her little body from a kill shelter on the eastern side of the state. She was bathed, treated for the fleas and mites, and had the mats shaved off, some down to the skin. Through it all she purred and gave kisses, as if to say thank you for helping me! She loves to be held where she feels safe. She has the most trusting look when her eyes meet mine. I have just started to hear her meow as she starts to feel better. I will be observing her over the next few days as I start to introduce her to my resident cats. Due to what I have observed so far, I feel AnnaLisa would do better in a home with no small children and another cat to show her the ropes! More to come as she starts to thrive in her new foster home!!
