Update Jan. 2010 - Bailey has turned into a very laid back, calm sweet girl after her stressful time when she was first rescued. She should also be fine with children over 5.
Hello,
I've been here for three weeks now. I am getting used to it. I'm still not a big fan of change. I'm getting used to it though much to my dismay. OH! Let me tell you about the babies that I have been helping Foster Mom with. She has the "Meezies". Don't ask why but that is what they call the three Siamese bottle babies we were just given. I sit on the carrier and take care of them. I call her when they start crying. She brings the bah-bah and it's chow time. You wouldn't believe how often they want to eat. That 2:00 a.m. feeding was the pits. I'm a good girl. I don't try to sneak out like my brother....I won't mention names. I don't see if I can get things stirred up for excitement like the other brother either. I'm purr-fectly happy just hanging around. I slept on the bed until a certain show-off brother took my place. I don't like trouble. I just let him have it. The counter in the bathroom is a better sleepy spot anyway. I'm getting this petting thing. I LIKE it. Well, sort of. I'll like it better when the winter fur shed finishes. We did the BIG groom the other day and the stuff was flying everywhere. Get one of those soft rubber brush things please. Those feel goooood. I don't like the scratchy plastic ones. Besides, you never know who else has been using them and I could get cooties from my brothers. They aren't as fastidious as I am. I actually like the dog better. I wouldn't mind one of my own but I think I'd like a smaller one with a softer tail. Those head shots when I don't duck quick enough HURT. Rescue Remedy tastes kind of nasty but it sure helps my nerves when life goes into over-drive around here. My favorite time is when Foster Mom throws everybody else out of the bedroom and we have together time. She does some smell good stuff in the air and we have soft lights and music. Pachelbel's Canon is our favorite. I don't want to go to the adoptathons. All that noise..yeach. Those strangers. Would you want a bunch of strange people putting their hands on your fur and getting familiar? I don't think so. I guess I could if you wanted to meet me there but I'm not going to be at my best. That's all for now. The "Meezies" are quiet. I'm going to grab a nap before their stomachs rule...again.
p.s. Maybe no other cats for me - I feel I am enough for any owner!
I would tolerate small dogs, as long as they realize I am in charge.
